SHAREHOLDER
E. Charles Maki joined Kegel, Tobin & Truce in 1976, becoming a shareholder in 1977. Chuck defends workers’ compensation matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board on behalf of a variety of clients such as self-insured employers, insurance companies and public entities which include agricultural agencies, cities and counties. Mr. Maki also handles Labor Code Section 132a and Serious & Willful matters on behalf of employer clients.
Mr. Maki is a managing shareholder in our Ventura branch office.
Experience: Previous to joining Kegel, Tobin & Truce, Mr. Maki worked as a defense attorney for the State Compensation Insurance Fund where he represented public agencies and employers before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
Education: Chuck earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from San Fernando Valley State College in 1967. He earned his law degree from San Fernando Valley College of Law in 1971.
