Alan D. Bennett is an experienced workers’ compensation attorney. His clients’ list is impressive and consists of large organizations, including CIGA, AIG, Everest, and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Mr. Bennett brings his experience to the table as he defends all types of cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board on behalf of his clients. He brings over 30 years’ worth of knowledge to the Kegel, Tobin & Truce team.

Mr. Bennett began his career in worker’s compensation defense in 1978. His first position was as house counsel for the Employers Insurance Company of Wausau. Since that time, he has worked for various house counsel and private firms in his field of Workers’ Compensation defense. Mr. Bennett also worked as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Long Beach, where he handled cases in the Workers’ Compensation Division. He then joined Kegel, Tobin & Truce in 2008.

Mr. Bennett earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1973. He went on to study law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and received his JD in 1976. He is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also involved in the Workers’ Compensation Section of the California Lawyers Association.

Alan took a little respite from the world of workers’ compensation from 1984 to 1985. During that time, he had the exciting opportunity to serve as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands! He is now based out of Long Beach, California and has fond memories of his international work.

Mr. Bennett’s experience has led him to become skilled at negotiating in challenging situations, no matter what type of workers’ compensation matters he faces. He prides himself on delivering consistent satisfaction and excellent service to all of his clients at KT&T.
