Ms. Nguyen has been with the law firm of Kegel, Tobin & Truce since December 2016. She represents insurance carriers and employers in workers’ compensation cases. She has also worked in criminal defense and employment & labor law.

Ms. Nguyen has lived most of her life in Southern California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she completed her undergraduate studies. At the university, Audrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Political Science. She later went on to the Chapman University School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2013. That year, she was admitted to the California state bar. While in law school, Audrey was a clerk for the legal research attorneys at the Orange County Superior Court and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

She has experience in fields of law other than workers’ compensation. She started out in both criminal defense and employment & labor law. These were the areas in which she worked for the first few years of her legal career. Before she joined Kegel, Tobin & Truce, she was an associate attorney at another workers’ comp defense firm based in Commerce, CA. Working at this defense firm allowed her to gain valuable experience representing employers, insurance companies, and administrators. She puts this know-how to good use today in her work.

At Kegel, Tobin & Truce, Ms. Nguyen represents multiple types of clients. Among them are insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and the California Insurance Guarantee Association. She represents them before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board through all the various phases of litigation.

Ms. Nguyen enjoys keeping busy outside of work. She has an interest in the arts, dabbling in photography and flower arranging. She is also an avid traveler and a lover of good food.
